England U19 vs Bangladesh U19, 5th Place Playoff Semi-Final 2

That's all we have from this game. Bangladesh will take on South Africa for the fifth spot on Wednesday. However, there are two mouth-watering semifinals before that. Tomorrow, we'll see Australia locking horns with Afghanistan. We'll be back for that. Do join us. Until then, it's goodbye.
Saif Hassan: In the first 10 overs, ball was doing a little bit. The bowlers did really good. The boys could squeeze them after the breakthrough. (Plan during innings break) We should use the powerplay and be aggressive. We had a good partnership after the loss of two wickets. Happy to contribute to the team. The team won, so I am happy. We came here for the best result. We're trying our best to take the fifth position.

Harry Brook: That collapse was started by Banks. We were going along nicely. Had we stayed around, it'd have been different. Slow pitch and it was hard to get going. We always had the confidence in the bowlers. We were backing our ability to bowl them out. But, credit to them. They played really well.

Afif Hossain, Man of the Match: Obviously the 71 (when asked which gave him more pleasure). I like batting more than bowling. I was trying to be positive and patient. I wanted to be in the wicket till the end. We batted well and that's why we won the match.

17:37 Local Time, 04:37 GMT, 10:07 IST: A good performance from Bangladesh. Saif Hassan promoted himself up the order and that move turned out to be a good one. Chasing a below-par score, the Bangladesh skipper got his team off to a solid start. At 82/3, he joined hands with Afif Hossain and they stitched a 66-run partnership for the fourth wicket which set the perfect platform. Hossain, like his captain, notched up a fifty and he was involved in another fifty partnership with Mohammad Rakib, before perishing trying to finish off the match in a hurry. Earlier in the day, the Bangladesh bowlers did an excellent job to restrict England down to 216 from 143/1.
